ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY ANALYST

ELKEME was founded in 1999 to support the Hellenic Metallurgical Industry. Through a variety of state-of-the-art laboratories, we focus on industrial research and technological development/analysis in four major metal sectors (Aluminum, Copper, Steel and Zinc). We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemist to join our team at our Oinofyta premises. The ideal candidate will contribute to research projects, perform laboratory analyses, and support our mission of enhancing industrial solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses on various materials (liquid, solid matrices)
• Collaborate with senior chemists and engineers on experiments aimed at improving laboratory performance.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly, performing routine maintenance as necessary.
• Perform routine laboratory tests of samples, with and without the use of instrumentation following official methods and laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols
• Always follow safe laboratory practices and maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
• Very good knowledge of English Language (Lower Level)
• Knowledge of handling the following analytical instruments is desirable: pH meter, conductivity meter, photometer and other basic devices
• Familiarity with techniques such as spectroscopy, chromatography, and other analytical methods
• Experience in inorganic chemistry will be appreciated
