A Transportation Senior Specialist

Viexal S.A. is the exclusive in-house supply chain provider for a group of metals manufacturing companies that belong to Viohalco. With more than 30 years of experience, Viexal procures secondary raw materials, services, projects and equipment, spare parts and consumables. Also, organizes the efficient unimodal, intermodal or multimodal transportation (Road, Sea, Rail, Inland waterway, Air) of primary and secondary raw materials, spare parts, manufactured goods, ADR and project cargo.

The Transportation Senior Specialist is a user of SAP Transportation Management system and conducts all duties of the logistics department.

Responsibilities 

• Coordinate and arrange the shipment of goods by identifying the most suitable transport carriers.
• Collaborate closely with all Supply Chain and Logistics departments across Viohalco companies.
• Manage transportation operations efficiently while ensuring adherence to budget constraints.
• Serve as SAP TMS Key User, providing expertise and operational support.
• Execute RFQs and e-auctions for land, air, and courier transport services.
• Ensure full compliance of transportation operations with applicable laws, transport regulations, safety standards, environmental policies, risk management guidelines, and corporate policies.
• Maintain accurate departmental records, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to carrier performance and transportation costs.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers capable of meeting the company’s cost, quality, and service requirements.
• Operate and provide support for logistics software systems (ANITA and related web applications).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
• Master’s degree (MSc) in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong understanding of the international logistics market.
• Solid knowledge of supply chain processes for metal products.
• In-depth expertise in the transportation industry.
• IT literate, with proficiency in logistics management software (e.g., SAP and other systems).
• Excellent negotiation and time management skills.
• Fluent in English, with outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
