an Azure & Systems Senior Engineer

Viexal S.A. is the exclusive in-house supply chain provider for a group of metals manufacturing companies that belong to Viohalco. With more than 30 years of experience, Viexal procures secondary raw materials, services, projects and equipment, spare parts and consumables. Also, organizes the efficient unimodal, intermodal or multimodal transportation (Road, Sea, Rail, Inland waterway, Air) of primary and secondary raw materials, spare parts, manufactured goods, ADR and project cargo.

A Azure & Systems Senior Engineer with proven experience in datacenter environments, virtualization, and the Microsoft technology stack. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and evolving our hybrid infrastructure across on-premises and cloud (Azure) platforms, ensuring performance, scalability, and security across all Corporate IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, monitor, and optimize Azure workloads (IaaS/PaaS, Azure Arc, storage).
• Administer and harden Active Directory (GPOs, OU structure, DNS/DHCP, delegation).
• Implement and maintain Entra ID policies, Conditional Access, MFA, and identity protection.
• Experience designing high-availability and disaster recovery solutions using Azure native services (Availability Zones, ASR, Load Balancers, Storage redundancy models)
• Manage and support Intune, Autopilot, endpoint compliance, and device configuration.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Apply and maintain the Microsoft Tiering Security Model (Tier-0 / Tier-1 / Tier-2).
• Support hybrid identity and AD/Entra synchronization.
• Support Windows Server and virtualization environments (Hyper-V/VMware).
• Ensure endpoint and infrastructure security using Defender for Endpoint.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or Infrastructure Administration.
• Proven experience with Azure IaaS/PaaS, Azure Arc, Azure networking, monitoring, and hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Tiering Security Model (Tier-0 / Tier-1 / Tier-2) and privileged access concepts.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Hyper-V (clusters, storage, HA), and good understanding of VMware environments.
• Experience in backup/recovery platforms
• Strong experience with Azure IaaS/PaaS, Azure Arc, and Intune MDM.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, and related services.
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365 services
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs).
• Azure Certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, MS-102, SC-300) considered a plus.
• Effective communication skills, teamwork mindset, and structured documentation habits.
