Production Engineer

to join us in Pernik, Bulgaria

Its products are used mainly in the construction industry, and automotive /shipbuilding/ transportation industry as well as in energy and power networks, and mining/tunneling markets. The facilities of Stomana Industry include a Scrap preparation unit, Melt shop, Rolling mill, Plate mill, Ball mill, and Multiple downstream activities.  

As a Production Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring smooth operations and innovation in our Melt Shop. Reporting to the Mill Manager, you will lead production and maintenance activities that drive efficiency and quality.

Your role:
 

• Coordinate production activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Ensure compliance with documented procedures governing the process of development and deployment of new technologies
• Lead, organize, and control new projects and initiatives that drive productivity and innovation
• Oversee metal production processes and prepare detailed specifications for the supply of blanks
• Monitor production schedules and ensure consistency and rhythm in the production of rolled products
• Analyze the reasons for overspending and suggest measures to eliminate them
• Control and take responsibility for the observance of all normative and standardization documents in the implementation of the production process

Your Profile:
 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Metallurgy or other Engineering Degree
• 2+ years prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment will be considered an asset
• Health & Safety culture
• Knowledge of the normative and standardization documents regulating the service activities
• Experience with ERP systems and MS
• Strong organizational and managing skills
• Excellent communication skills (Bulgarian & English)
