PRODUCTION ENGINEER
to join the team in Thessaloniki

 

Sidenor is looking for a Production Engineer for its Plant in Thessaloniki. With 60 years of industry know-how and expertise Sidenor is the largest steel industry in Greece and constitutes the steel production and trading segment of Viohalco. Sidenor Group is a leading steel producer in Southeastern Europe with 4 production units in Greece, Bulgaria and Northern Macedonia.

As the Production Engineer, you will report to the Production Senior Manager, and you will be responsible for the supervision of the production/maintenance of the Plant’s Production Unit.

 

Your Role

  • Supervise the execution of the production program and plan corrective actions
  • Follow Health & Safety regulations in accordance with the company’s policies and standards.
  • Follow the instructions as set by the Quality Control Department to ensure the quality of the finalized product
  • Coordinate and take responsibility for the production process for the Department with the goal of minimizing operating costs
  • Utilize the Systems for Quality, Environment and Health & Safety for the Production Department.
  • Take responsibility for the good operation, upkeep and care of the Department

 

Your Profile

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Production Engineering and Management (Member of Technical Chamber of Greece)
  • 2+ years of prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment will be considered an asset
  • Health and Safety Culture
  • Familiar with PLC – SCADA and other Automation systems
  • Excellent command of MS Office Applications
  • Knowledge of Autocad  
  • Excellent communication skills (Greek & English)
  • Great interpersonal skills with Team Working Spirit
  • Problem solving and leadership skills
