 Electrician

to join the team in Almyros-Magnesia

Sovel member of Sidenor Group, is looking for an Electrician for its SOVEL Steel Plant in Almyros-Magnesia. With 60 years of industry know-how and expertise Sidenor is the largest steel industry in Greece and constitutes the steel production and trading segment of Viohalco. Sidenor Group is a leading steel producer in Southeastern Europe with 4 production units in Greece, Bulgaria and North Macedonia.

The Group's products are available in more than 50 countries with a significant contribution to the economic growth, such as those of steel reinforcing for building and infrastructure projects, shipbuilding and various other industrial applications.

As an Electrician, you will overview the smooth operation of the production equipment during the shift, will ensure compliance with HS&E standards and the improvement of the line operation through observations, proposals and innovative solutions.

What you will need to do:

• Ensure the smooth operation of the production equipment during the shift
• Daily monitoring of Software / Hardware of the electrical and automation equipment
• Carry out inspection - diagnosis and repair work
• Proceed into the necessary actions for the implementation of the preventive/predictive maintenance plan
• Cooperation with production departments to accommodate the availability of line equipment
• After completion of training, you will work in a shift pattern to accommodate smooth operation of the production line

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Technological Institute) in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering or relevant experience
• 2+ years prior experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial environment will be considered an asset
• Health & Safety Culture
• Good knowledge of English
• Basic knowledge of PC and MS Office applications
• Good understanding of electrical design
• Knowledge of PLCs, AC/DC Drivers will be considered an asset
