Production and Maintenance Engineer

to join the team in Almyros-Magnesia

Sovel member of Sidenor Group, is looking for a Production and Maintenance Engineer for its SOVEL Steel Plant in Almyros-Magnesia. With 60 years of industry know-how and expertise Sidenor is the largest steel industry in Greece and constitutes the steel production and trading segment of Viohalco. Sidenor Group is a leading steel producer in Southeastern Europe with 4 production units in Greece, Bulgaria and North Macedonia.

As a Production and Maintenance Engineer, you will contribute to the overall maintenance and production of our process. You are dedicated to working with your colleagues as part of a high-performing team, demonstrating enthusiasm and high motivation to develop fast and picking up new skills and talents go.

What you will need to do:

• Follow Health & Safety regulations in accordance with the company’s policies and standards
• Monitor daily production operations and ensure optimal performance of equipment
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime
• Analyze production and maintenance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with production teams to enhance efficiency and product quality
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, TPM, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

Your Profile:

• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Member of Technical Chamber of Greece).
• Health & Safety Culture
• Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement mentality
• Excellent command of MS Office Applications
• Familiarity with automation software and hardware will be considered an asset.
• Good understanding of Electrical Design and Drawings
