is seeking a Quality Control  Engineer to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility in Corinth that focuses on the production of high and extra high voltage submarine cables.

 

The Quality Control Engineer supports organization’s performance by ensuring overall quality control of raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products, in line with applicable quality standards, technical specifications and company requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Manage and coordinate Quality Control activities to ensure that products are manufactured in accordance with approved specifications, while supporting the implementation of corrective actions and solutions.
  • Coordinate Quality Control and Laboratory activities related to the inspection and testing of incoming raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products, ensuring compliance with company quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Present and discuss inspection results and quality-related issues with Production Managers and the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Recommend adjustments and improvements to the production process where required to safeguard product quality.
  • Evaluate the implementation of the Quality Plan and Quality Control Plans across the production facilities.
  • Assess quality control and laboratory test results against technical specifications and product requirements and provide recommendations for acceptance or rejection prior to the final decision by the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Develop, review, issue and implement Quality Control procedures and work instructions.
  • Prepare and maintain test reports, inspection plans and quality control plans.
  • Review and analyze project and cable order requirements in cooperation with the relevant company departments.
  • Identify, assess and analyze risks that may affect cable production, testing, loading and delivery.
  • Monitor product and process compliance with applicable quality standards, technical specifications and customer requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from a Polytechnic School.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a quality control or production environment.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and quality management systems will be considered an asset.
  • Very good command of English
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and SAP will be considered an additional asset.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Data analysis, data interpretation, trend identification and data-driven decision-making.
  • Teamwork and collaboration.
  • Organization, flexibility and effective management of multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail.
