HELLENIC CABLELS S.A.
is seeking a Production Foundries Engineer to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility in Corinth - one of the most technologically advanced submarine cable production plants globally.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the production foundries line, gaining hands‑on engineering experience by monitoring processes on the shop floor and actively following up on quality and safety.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support systematic monitoring of production processes, quality parameters, and health & safety topics.
- Provide daily production support, including follow‑up of production requests, basic material tracking, and coordination with relevant departments.
- Assist in the preparation, review, and update of work instructions and process documentation.
- Monitor and follow up on internal audit actions, ensuring timely implementation and proper documentation.
- Participate in process observations and basic data collection to identify deviations and improvement opportunities.
- Support KPI tracking (e.g. quality indicators, material yield, OEE) and reporting.
- Work closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth and safe operations.
- Contribute to ensuring compliance with safety and environmental rules and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- MSc in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 1-2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (relevant internships or thesis work will be considered an asset)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Structured way of working, with attention to detail and follow‑up.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address process inefficiencies.
- Results and action oriented.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a production and process‑driven environment
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks applications will be considered an asset.
- Fluent in English.
