HELLENIC CABLELS S.A.

 

is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility in Corinth - one of the most technologically advanced submarine cable production plants globally.

 

The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in Health, Safety & Environment and a willingness to develop their knowledge within an industrial environment. The role will support the planning, execution, and reporting of internal HSE audits across the plant to help monitor compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company policies. Working closely with experienced team members, the successful candidate will assist in identifying potential risks, participating in risk assessments, tracking corrective and preventive actions, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that promote a safe and compliant workplace.

 

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal audits of industrial health and safety management systems.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Identify risks, non-conformities, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and monitor corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Supervise workplace health and safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.
  • Coordinate with operational teams to ensure continuous compliance and performance improvement.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a Technological Educational Institution (former TEI – Greece)
  • Relevant experience in industrial environment Health & Safety will be considered an asset.
  • Flexibility to work in a rotating shift environment supporting continuous plant operations.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong organization skills to prioritize workload.
  • Ability to provide timely and effective communications to all levels of the organization.
