The Opportunity:

Hellenic Cables, a subsidiary of Cenergy Holdings with more than 70 years of manufacturing excellence, is expanding its global footprint with a new state-of-the-art facility in Baltimore, Maryland. This advanced manufacturing operation will support growing global demand for highly engineered power and telecommunications cable products.

 

As part of this growth, we are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to support plant operations. This is a rare opportunity to build and own an end-to-end supply chain function, from strategic sourcing and supplier management through production planning, warehousing, and inbound/outbound logistics within a growing, well-capitalized global manufacturer.

The Supply Chain Manager owns the full supply chain lifecycle for the Baltimore facility, combining strategic procurement (Machinery & Industrial Services, Raw & Secondary Materials, MRO – Spare Parts & Consumables, and General & IT Goods and Services) with production planning, receiving, warehousing, and shipping operations. This role partners closely with plant leadership, operations, engineering, finance, and corporate procurement to ensure material availability, control cost, and keep product moving efficiently from supplier to customer.

 

This position reports directly to the site Senior Operations Director, with dotted-line reporting to both the General Manager of Hellenic Cables Americas and the Corporate Procurement Category Director and works closely with the Corporate Procurement team on strategic sourcing, supplier agreements, and best practices across the organization. The Supply Chain Manager leads the site's planning, warehousing, and shipping/receiving team and directs procurement activity for the plant, with the team expected to grow alongside the plant's production ramp-up.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Procurement & Sourcing

  • Lead procurement activities across assigned categories, including sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance management
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that support operational goals, cost optimization, and long-term business objectives
  • Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities through total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis and cross-functional collaboration
  • Manage supplier relationships and maintain strong market knowledge of materials, equipment, and industrial service providers
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives and group-wide agreements in partnership with Corporate Procurement teams
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply risks, and ensure compliance with procurement policies and contract terms

Planning, Receiving & Shipping

  • Own production planning and scheduling in coordination with Operations to align materials and capacity with demand
  • Lead receiving, warehousing, and shipping operations, including inbound/outbound logistics, freight and carrier management, and on-time delivery performance
  • Manage inventory levels, cycle counts, and warehouse accuracy across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
  • Supervise and develop the planning, warehousing, and shipping/receiving team across shifts
  • Ensure compliance with safety, DOT/export, and customs requirements, and drive warehouse layout and process improvements to support growing production volumes

Shared/Cross-Functional

  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, QC/QA, and other internal stakeholders to align supply chain activity with plant needs
  • Utilize ERP systems and procurement/planning tools to manage purchasing, inventory, and logistics activities, reporting, and data analysis
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supply chain efficiency, supplier performance, and operational reliability
  • Build out and scale the supply chain organization (processes, systems, and team as the Baltimore facility grows)

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Logistics, or a related field required
  • MBA or postgraduate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of combined procurement, planning, and/or logistics/warehouse experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment, including people leadership
  • CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, or APICS certifications are a plus
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, sourcing strategies, and supplier management, plus production planning, warehouse management, and logistics in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience purchasing synthetic polymers and metals (e.g., copper, aluminum) is preferred
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP experience preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead a multi-shift team in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of initiative, accountability, and attention to detail

SALARY PAY RANGE: $95,000 - $155,000 plus bonus 

 

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. Benefits include healthcare (medical, dental, vision, prescription drugs) available the first of the month following date of hire, 401(k) with match, life insurance, AD&D, short-term disability, paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.
