IT NETWORK SENIOR ENGINEER

is looking for an IT Network and Security Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure.

You will be part of the IT infrastructure engineering team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Design and implement LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN and segmentation changes to support new sites, applications, and business needs.
  • Install, configure and maintain switches, firewalls, Wi‑Fi controllers, NAC and DLP platforms (primarily Fortinet but also Palo Alto and Cisco).
  • Perform upgrades, patches and hardening on network and security devices, following change management processes.
  • Monitor availability, performance, and security events, and act on alerts, using network monitoring and analytics tools.
  • Provide L2/L3 escalation for incidents, doing deep packet, routing, firewall and wireless troubleshooting.
  • Implement and run cybersecurity controls in cooperation with the group security team (policies on firewalls, DLP, NAC, VPN, etc.).
  • Coordinate external engineers and vendors, making sure their work is planned, controlled, and correctly delivered.

Qualifications:

 

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related subject is required or strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years hands‑on on large corporate networks (multiple sites, VPNs, complex routing, high availability).
  • Strong Fortinet background: FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, at Fortinet Certified Professional level or similar.
  • Cisco‑level networking skills: CCNA/CCNP as a baseline; CCIE or CISSP is a plus.
  • Palo Alto firewall administration experience, ideally with policy design and troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of IP networking: TCP/IP, routing, VPN (IPsec), QoS, VLANs, 802.11 wireless, and solid grasp of OSI/TCP‑IP models.
  • Experience with monitoring and diagnostics (NetFlow/sFlow, SNMP, syslog, packet captures, PRTG or similar).

 

Important non‑technical expectations:

  • Analytical mindset and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Strong time management, able to juggle incidents, projects and vendor coordination.
  • Process orientation: comfortable with formal change management, documentation, and following/creating procedures.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills, to explain designs, write runbooks, and collaborate with other IT and business teams.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate external engineers and partners effectively.
